Day Two

Today your students will be assigned a country and a group with three other classmates. In this group there will be designated jobs that will both evenly distribute the work, but allow the students to collaborate on information more effectively.

It is important for you to become familiar with the jobs and the students responsibilities in order to better assist your own student.

JOBS:

The Reporter: Will be in charge of researching information about the country. Perhaps this might be interesting facts or fun facts about the traditions they find.

The Historian: Will be responsible for researching the history behind the tradition and the recipe.

The Head Chef: This person will do tasks with the recipe. This is mainly a math oriented job. I will give this person worksheets that help practice addition and multiplication of fractions.

The Food Critic: Will look up the ingredients history and find the relevance and connection between the ingredients and the traditional recipe.

**Tonight's Homework: your student will bring home their assigned country and need to research basic information to bring to their group tomorrow. Such as location, language, and fun fact. I encourage you to be a guiding light in their research and steer them in the right direction.
